With the end of the year and the end of the decade just around the corner, it is a great time to take stock of where you are in life. Then start thinking about your future. Ask yourself the following questions, and answer them honestly:
- What aspect(s) of your life would you like to change?
- What would you like to accomplish by this time next year?
- And what would you like to accomplish by the end of the next decade?
Thinking about your future and all the vast possibilities can be a bit overwhelming. But spending time thinking about what you want in the future is very important. It’s about figuring out where you want to go in life so you can make the changes necessary to achieve the future outcome you want.
Make the Choice to Take a Chance on Change
According to Zig Ziglar, ‘The 3 C’s in Life [are]: Choice, Chance, Change. You must make the Choice, to take the Chance, if you want anything in life to Change.’
Change can be scary. People often fear the unknown more than they fear the status quo. But if the status quo isn’t working for you, you need to be brave and take a chance on change. Make the choice to step towards the unknown, and towards the possibility of improving your situation.
But change won’t happen on its own. You need to make the choice to take a chance on change, so you can work towards the future you want.
