Hello. I am Dr. Alyx MacTernan, the founder of Elemental Mental Health (EMH). I am so pleased and excited to announce the launch of the company today!
Why I Founded Elemental Mental Health
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of Georgia and Texas. And I believe in working to improve the mental health of clients and mental health services for members of my community.
One of the best ways to do this is by helping to ensure that clients seeking mental health counseling can easily and conveniently access these services. And with the launch of Elemental Mental Health, I am now able to offer telemental health services to clients via a web-based platform.
Telemental Health Services from Elemental Mental Health
The use of electronic platforms to reach clients has been in practice since the 1950’s and has only gained in popularity as well as efficacy.
By utilizing a web-based platform to offer telemental health services, it allows me to make mental health counseling more accessible for clients. And it allows clients access to therapy from a convenient environment, such as the comfort of their own home. This is especially beneficial to clients living in remote locations (in GA or TX), clients with very busy schedules who find it hard to fit regular therapy sessions in, and/or people with certain debilitating conditions, such as anxiety.

When I started down this path and decided to launch my business, Julie Kirkland was my first call. She’s an accomplished digital marketing specialist with a plethora of project management experience.
Julie is responsible for assembling this amazing team and guiding me down the path to launching my new business. She really is the guru of all things digital. She managed the entire project from start to finish and created all of the website content.
